Adult ADHD therapy and counselling

Adult ADHD therapy is a space to make sense of how ADHD shapes your days – your energy, emotions, relationships and the way you speak to yourself.

As an ADHD therapist, I offer private ADHD therapy for adults – whether ADHD has been part of your life for years or is something you have only recently started to understand – in person or online across the UK.

Who it’s for

ADHD therapy for adults, at any point

Some people come soon after learning about ADHD and want to look back on their life with new understanding. Others have known for years and want help with what still feels hard.

You might be juggling work and home while running on empty, feeling the sting of criticism long after it happens, or tired of starting things with energy and finishing them in frustration.

Therapy offers a place to understand these patterns without judgement and to find ways of living that suit how your mind works.

What to expect

How adult ADHD therapy works

We start with what feels most pressing now, and go at a pace that suits you.

Sessions might look at a recent day that went badly, the story you told yourself about it and what might help next time – as well as longer patterns of shame or overwhelm.

The focus is on understanding and self-compassion as well as practical change, shaped around what helps you.

If you mainly want practical help with planning, organisation and routines, ADHD coaching may suit you better.

Online sessions by video call are available across the UK, depending on suitability, which some adults find easier to fit around work and family.

About the therapist

Working with an ADHD therapist

My approach is integrative, relational and trauma-informed. With ADHD, that means paying attention to how years of being misunderstood can shape the way you see yourself, as well as to what is happening now.

I am a therapist registered with BACP and NCPS.
